Tailored Cold Recovery: CET Bespoke Ice Bath for Fix Manchester

CET are pleased to share the successful installation of a bespoke ice bath at Fix Manchester. This custom-designed unit brings together our expertise in ice bath technology with Manchester’s first Sauna & Ice Bath facility and the first in the UK to offer guided contrast therapy sessions.

Recovery with a Difference

FIX Manchester was founded with a mission to go beyond standard recovery services, creating a space where contrast therapy is enhanced through guided experiences. These sessions integrate breathwork, meditation, vocalisation and more — making FIX not only a recovery hub but also a destination for holistic wellness.

To support this vision, FIX needed a bespoke cold immersion system that could:

  • Accommodate group sessions, reflecting the social and communal aspect of their guided therapies.
  • Integrate seamlessly into their facility’s unique layout and premium design.
  • Deliver reliable performance, efficient operation, and minimal maintenance.

Challenges & Solutions

Designing a recovery system for FIX required a fully customised approach. CET worked together with founder James Fielding and the FIX team to bring the concept to life:

  • Capacity & Layout
FIX wanted to support large group sessions while staying true to their aesthetic. CET designed double ice baths with capacity for up to 8 people per bath, maximising both usability and impact.
  • Integration with Existing Framework
FIX provided the bath structures, which required precise technical collaboration. CET supplied and installed all operating technology, including touchscreen controls, media filtration, and automatic dosing systems.
  • Performance & Efficiency
The system had to deliver consistent cold immersion without excessive maintenance demands. By using glass bead media filtration instead of traditional sand, CET ensured superior water clarity, efficiency, and reliability.

Member Benefits

For members, the new ice bath installation transforms recovery into an experience that is both powerful and revitalising. Cold immersion reduces muscle fatigue, limits inflammation, and speeds up recovery after training – while also supporting circulation and overall wellness. Combined with hot and cold therapies with guided practices such as breathwork and meditation, the benefits extend beyond the physical. Members report feeling mentally sharper, calmer, and more resilient.

A Recovery Solution Built for FIX

Feedback from FIX has been overwhelmingly positive, with both staff and members praising the system’s reliability, efficiency, and premium finish. For CET, the project demonstrates how bespoke solutions can be seamlessly integrated into specialised facilities, supporting both operational requirements and the overall member experience.

Members at FIX Manchester now have access to a recovery tool that looks premium, performs reliably, and consistently supports effective recovery. FIX aims to help individuals develop positive habits, and CET is proud to support that mission.
