Middlesbrough Football Club has enhanced its player recovery and performance infrastructure with the installation of a Team CryoSpa Pro ice bath system at its Rockliffe Hall training ground. The new setup, supplied by cold water therapy specialists CET CryoSpas, can accommodate up to eight players simultaneously, providing advanced recovery support for the whole squad.
The Team CryoSpa Pro is CET’s flagship product for elite sport. Its patented jet system delivers a deeper, more penetrating cold into the muscles, while the 1.2-metre depth of the baths generates hydrostatic pressure akin to compression garments – optimising recovery and supporting performance.
Middlesbrough FC has integrated the ice baths into its already extensive facilities as part of its preparation for a push to return to the Premier League. The installation provides players and performance staff with reliable, high-quality cold water immersion capabilities, enabling more efficient recovery from training and match-day workloads.
